I have a few questions regarding Voice Mail
1. Can I configure Voice Mail so it would not require a password?
2. Is it possible to retrieve Voice Mail messages from a different phone line (say I am at someone else's place and I do not have access to a computer)?
3. The Voice Mail is playing at a very high volume, it is distorted and hard to understand. How can I decrease the volume?
Thank you

Re: Voice Mail questions
1. You can configure voicemail so that it does not require a password for "local" access (which would be from the mobile/desktop app directly) although you will need to specify one for remote access to voicemail (e.g. from another phone).
2. From the Dell Voice FAQ:
2. From the Dell Voice FAQ:
3. The volume would be controlled on your device, that is your computer or your mobile device.you can check your voicemail remotely by dialing one of the Remote Access Numbers and entering your Dell Voice number starting with a '1'.

Re: Voice Mail questions
This is the link for the access numbers, although it will probably change once FPL completes its morph into Fongo http://www.freephoneline.ca/vmAccessNumbers

Re: Voice Mail questions
I am not using any mobile/desktop app. It is a VoIP adapter and a regular phone is plugged into it. It is actually a two line phone, one line is the VoIP line, the other is a standard, traditional landline.pedor wrote:1. 1. The voice menu (*98 - 3 - 2 - 1) allows to change the password but i can not set it to no password.
2. When I call the Remote Access Number it asks me for my account number and a password. None of the numbers I have work. What am I really supposed to put in there?
3. The landline uses a similar voicemail, it is accessed by *98 etc. and the sound is normal and undistorted. On the VoIP line it is way to loud and distorted. The phone or the adapter has no volume control.

Re: Voice Mail questions
I went through accessing the voicemail from a remote number. As far as I know you HAVE to have a password. Blank is not an option.

I have no problem with a password when I call remotely, but I don't want one when I am at home.Jake wrote:I went through accessing the voicemail from a remote number. As far as I know you HAVE to have a password. Blank is not an option.

Re: Voice Mail questions
This was very helpful, thanks. I can now access the voicemail from a remote site. The trick was to press 1 before the area code for the "account number" which is actually my phone numberJake wrote:I went through accessing the voicemail from a remote number.
