My phone vibrates for a fraction of a second when I tap a Dialpad key to compose a phone number. Is there some way to turn this off or to change it to a beep, etc.?
FWIW my phone ringer is set to vibrate (because I find that more discreet than ringing) in case that's related to this issue.

I am going to say yes, that could be why you're not getting any audible feedback from the button presses. I am able to hear it when my ringer is on, and when I turn it on silent (vibrations enabled) I do not.

Kris, with the phone ringer on, when I compose a phone number I can hear the DTMF tone and feel the vibrate. Same with the menu bar (Settings, History, Contacts,...) at the top of the screen; I can hear a click and feel a vibrate when I tap a button.

This is likely a setting in your phone - I have a setting in my Galaxy Nexus where I can enable/disable 'vibrate on touch'. It's found in my 'Sound' menu in the OS settings.

On my Galaxy Gio in Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate there are 4 options, Always, Never, Only in Silent mode and Only when not in Silent mode. Even when I set Never, the DV Dialpad continues to vibrate with each tap. The dialpads in other apps like Google Voice, GrooVe IP and Skype don't vibrate. That's why I think it's a DV/Fongo issue.

Re: Is vibrate the only Dialpad key feedback?
I have completely the opposite. I can't get the keypad to vibrate even if I wanted to. I turned everything on and still could get it to vibrate. Which is lucky in a way as I really don't like itbylo wrote:On my Galaxy Gio in Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate there are 4 options, Always, Never, Only in Silent mode and Only when not in Silent mode.
