Installed iPhone app, but can't receive incoming calls

Post by WilliamY »

HI,

Installed the app in my iPad2. I can make a phone call using WiFi, but can't receive any incoming calls. all incoming calls went to voice mail even though the 5 rings is set. I'm guessing if because I'm using Freephone line at same time, ports were forwarding to my ATA adapter, so the iPad2 won't get any incoming calls?

Thanks

William

Are you forwarding port 5060 UDP to the ATA? If you are try forwarding 5063 UDP (or another that you have not forwarded) instead and free up 5060 UDP. Reconfigure to ATA correspondingly.

Changed to 5063 UDP for ATA, and port forwarding properly, but that won't help. Should I change UDP for RTP?

When I checked my call log, I saw the 'Destination out of order' was the Disconnect Reason. but what is it?

You will need other ports to be available for the Ipad according to the Fongo recommendations. Usually RTP ports carry the voice packets and use the UDP protocol. The usual alternative to the UDP protocol is TCP protocol. If you have a strong firewall then you will need to forward some ports for RTP to the ATA and the phone.

I re-install the Dell Voice iPhone app on my iPad2, its suddenly working, the only change I made is to turn off the 3g reminder after install since I am only using Wifi, no 3g.
