I remember seeing a thread about this but I can't seem to find it.
I have two phones hooked up to my ata, it'd be nice to have both phones ring when I get a call.
Also, I'd love to be able to use both phones at the same time like a regular lan line, by simplify picking up the other phone - using conferencing might be a little difficult for my mother.
Anyway to do these 2 things?
Can use two phones simultaneously? Inbound rings two phones?

I think the suggestion last time this came up was to get a line splitter and just use one port of the ATA, then plug both phones into the line splitter.
Something like this http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Product. ... ct=2798101

Thanks so much my friend

It's difficult to think simple when you think the answer should be complicated.

Jake: You (inadvertently) picked a scary poor example for a line splitter. Your featured example is for a multi line phone, and will not serve the purpose. You need a dollar store splitter or comparable.Jake wrote:I think the suggestion last time this came up was to get a line splitter and just use one port of the ATA, then plug both phones into the line splitter.

My intention was good, and luckily it was taken the right way.
