Well I had been looking into FPL since the Bud introduction last year and finally jumped on board now that Dell Voice has launched. I have two Dell Voice numbers, one for my cell and the other for my home. I have purchased the SIP unlock codes for both numbers which I access via hosted pbx (pbxes.org).
At the moment I connect to pbxes via two iPhones using acrobits (groundwire). I will be adding an ATA once the setup is up and running without issues. The problem I have been having is that at times incoming calls to my DV line will not transfer to pbxes and I am not sure if the problem is with FPL or pbxes.
From what I can gather the problem is between FPL and pbxes and not between pbxes and the iPhones. I believe this because even when an incoming call does not ring on the iPhones I can still get through to the device via extension number. Interestingly enough when the dv line is not transferring, if I go to pbxes and update anything (restart),DV calls start coming through again.
There seems to be a number a people here that use both FPL and pbxes, have you run into any issues or better yet, solutions?
Thanks
James

Re: Problems with Dell voice using SIP via pbxes
It sounds like pbxes is loosing registration somewhere along the way. This could happen if you log in with another device.
Next time this happens, take a look on the sip settings tab in your online DV account. At the top it should say if you are connected and via what. Maybe look now when it is working so you know what it should say.
Do both accounts drop out at the same time?

Re: Problems with Dell voice using SIP via pbxes
Hi Jake,
The settings page shows me as connected via PBX on both accounts. They have both failed at the same time but it is more common for one to fail at a time. Now prior to registering pbxes, I tested the SIP connections directly using the groundwire app. Could this have caused some confusion with the registration server? Would tech support be able to look at the sip logs if I file a ticket?
Thanks for your help,
James

Re: Problems with Dell voice using SIP via pbxes
Last night, I added a VoIP.ms line to pbxes. First thing this morning I tried both DV lines again and only one of the two responded. While conducting follow up tests, both DV lines went out. For comparison, throughtout testing the VoIP.ms line has been up 100% of the time. What would you suggest as my next step?
Thanks

Does fongo plan on working on these issues? I find your customer support absolutely atrocious as I have called twice to have sip passwords reset in order confirm no other device is registering. In both case nothing but empty promises.
What about getting a refund? That $100 I paid would go a long way with my VoIP.ms accounts. As in 1 year of trouble free service.
