As mentioned before I am unable to call my own St. John's number (part of a new block of numbers)
709-700-XXXX
it was only recently added to my cell providers database but works OK from everywhere except FPL/GV.
I am also unable to call
709-437-XXXX
which is normally a local call and listed in the St. John's section of the phone book.
Can these numbers be added soon please?

Re: Unable to call some St. John's NL numbers
Hi dibsmft,
The 709-700 number is in St-John's and 709-437 is registered (according to the local calling guide) as being in Torbay NL
At the moment, only the 709-700 should be added, and will be added for to the free list. Sadly the Torbay number is not in the free calling zone.

Re: [resolved] Unable to call some St. John's NL numbers
I rather expected that would be the answer, I guess I could probably call Torbay cell phones or continue to use Gmail talk for that purpose. I notice that you seem to cover the city of Mount Pearl so that could be listed as covered (St. John's and Mount Pearl are attached but are separate cities). Torbay is a local call from my 709-753-xxxx area here with Bell-Aliant PSTN. Thanks for checking the numbers.

Re: [resolved] Unable to call some St. John's NL numbers
Although marked as "Resolved" I still unable to call my home number 709-700-xxxx and, of course, 709-437-xxxx would still be long distance although it is a free call from St. John's in the phone book.
Please review this problem.

As was identified earlier, only the city of St. Johns is a free call from the Fongo network at this time. For the most up-to-date list of cities that are a free call please see the link below:

Re: [resolved] Unable to call some St. John's NL numbers
Yes, I am aware of that and the full number listing. My home number is in St. John's (just up from the confederation building) but part of a new series of numbers that has finally been added to my cell providers list but is not in your list and according to FONGO_mike it probably should be.

If you can PM me the details of the new number then I can definitely look into why it isn't in our list (as any St. John's number should be)dibsmft wrote:Yes, I am aware of that and the full number listing.
