TG784 Port Forwarding - Looking for Help

Post by JohnnyB »

I own a TG784, and have been struggling to view my IP Camera from outside my network.

I have a no-ip account that is tracking the WAN IP changes. Using the port checking tool, it appears the port is closed, but I have assigned the proper port (80), and I have even disabled the firewall.

Does anyone have any experience forwarding ports successfully with this device?

I call customer support yesterday and was not to happy with the teckie I talked to. When I asked if they are blocking the ports, he said no, then when I presisted, he told me the ports were open. Not sure what to think.

Hopefully someone from FONGO replies to this, because no one has answered my support ticket email either.

with your ATA, select another port for fongo other than 5060, like 6060. Apparently, Thompson keeps 5060 to itself. Have no clue why.

:D and :?

I got my IP camera to work outside of my network. Why I was able to gain access to my network on port 81 and not port 80 blows me away.

To bridonca, thanks for the reply. I was thinking of trying another port, but, your reply pushed me to do it.
