Typical data rate for a phone call

Curious to know what the typical data usage rate is on a VOIP phone call. Just wondering since I am reaching my internet data limit this month and not sure if its because we watched more movies over the internet or the VOIP phone is chewing up alot of bandwidth - can't see it being the case but asking. Thx.

Very minimal consumption - g711u is 64kbps and g729a is 8kbps. There'll be a minimal packet overhead on each too, but not enough to vastly change the numbers.

If you google for VOIP bandwidth calculators, you can usually find calculation tools too.
