Fail to call China, but was charged

Post by flyover »

I was trying to call a number in Beijing 011 86 10 5884 6200. It was silent with no rings but the clock was ticking. I tried several times and was charged for several times. Then I gave up and called with skype which worked with no problem.

I would suggest contacting our customer support as we will need to investigate this call further to see why it failed to connect.

It does say customer support doesn't it :D, but no, it isn't an official support section of Fongo. The help here comes a lot from other forum members and the few Fongo staff that check in.

Your best bet for support will always be to call in to a CSR.

Due to the open and public nature of the forum we aren't able to address anything relating to your specific account or specific phone numbers in public domain. Unfortunately the internet has a dark side where posting phone numbers on a public board will get you more than the help you need :) We try our best to help with general support questions on the board though, because it creates a wonderful repository of knowledge for other users.

Official answers already posted for you, but think of the forum (open as they are) more as a PEER-to-PEER support system.

Again, as specifically noted by Steve/Mike, the forums can offer GENERAL type assistance, but for anything specifically account related, billing, personal info, account questions etc, you need to go DIRECTLY to "official" customer service -- most easily accessed via a phone call and a live in person rep. :-)

Other than that, we are more than happy to spin you around to point you in the right direction, throw bandaids on things, and tie string around things that are loose or dangling! ;-)

In general, with our forums, people such as Steve and myself put in as much time as we can to help support everyone. We are however restricted in the this is not our primary functions at work. Although we can come and collect information, post reply's, and may request more information, it is safe to remain under the assumption that you will always receive quicker support in calling us and speaking to a live agent.
With that in mind, if you have general questions, the majority of our members on these forums (from what i have seen in the time i have been on here) are VERY eager to help out other users, whether it be in educating, sharing ideas or teaching less experienced users and help introduce them into the world of digital phones.
