Hi All,
I have Linksys SPA-3102 connected to FreeSwitch running on VPS. I am unable to send or receive faxes - normal calls are no problem. I have tried every possible setting I can think of on both the SPA box and FreeSwitch. Prior to switching to FreePhoneline I was with Voip.ms and was able to send/receive faxes with the outlined setup.
Any suggestions/tips/work around would be very helpful.
Daniel

Re: Fax sending/recieving issues
This may take a little bit of study,
but with FreePBX there's a high-reliability work-around for fax relying on Hylafax and AIX-Modem add-ons.
Seeing as FreeSWITCH isn't as widespread I don't know what mods are available, but if you look into the technique there, something might come to mind.
Otherwise same old ATA tricks, reduce the latency, make it so RTP sends every 10ms instead of default 20, enforce ulaw only. Set your fax machine for high detail so the digitization takes more time.

Be sure to give the rules a quick read
I'm moving this post as the 'Device Configuration Sharing' section is a library for sharing only completed, functioning configurations for devices.
