Lots of people have tried faxing without much luck although many help from forumers.
I've just started using a fax software (Symantec WinFax pro) and have succeeded in sending as much as 10 pages per faxes many times.
Many have suggested to lower transmission speed to 9600. For one it is a must.
But I have also found another setting that made my failed faxes succeed. ECM mode.
WinFax Pro is configurable like a real fax hardware. When installing it automatically comes with the ECM mode off. So I checked all my possible fax settings one by one on the internet and found that ECM is a standard mode that most fax machine have always been using.
So after setting my fax ECM mode on All my faxes went through.
Hope this helps if you can find an ECM mode on your fax machines.

Re: Faxing (again)
Handy information to have, hopefully some of the other users that have experienced difficulties will find this useful.
Now for me, if only there would be a combo softphone/sendfax program, I would be in "tickled-pink" heaven ... as I don't have an ATA ...
