Voice Mail: Fongo vs Phone

Fongo provides voice mail. My phone also has voice mail. But it seems Fongo's voice mail override that from the phone. Is there any set up I can do so that voice mail goes to my phone rather than Fongo?

What do you mean by "phone"? One method is to change the number of rings on your phone so that it picks up before Fongos voicemail.

My phone has an answering machine. I want to use that answering machine for voice mail rather than that from Fongo. Is it possible?

Reduce the number of rings on your answering machine so that it picks up before Fongo.
The alternative would be to increase the number of rings on Fongo if it is possible.

You might prefer to stay with the Fongo voicemail since it emails a copy of the voice mail to you email
address making access easy.

I set my fongo VM ring count to maximum (5) then my phone has no problem picking it up before it goes to Fongo voicemail. If that does not solve the issue, then you will need to look into phone manual and see if you can make it pickup calls quicker.

With the MWI bug going around, I like having main house phone on phone voicemail whereas I use network voicemail on my direct line with email copy feature.
