Hello all,
Yesterdays service interuption notwithstanding, since about Wed or Thurs, we have had trouble with making long distance calls.
I checked our account which seems to have about 1.50 balance, so that shouldnt be the issue.
I just tried making a call, and got a message: 'That password is not valid'.
Previously, the message used to be something along the lines of 'the account number is not valid/active'.
Yesterday as part of the service interruption i tried restarting the pap2t adapter and such, but that doesnt seem to have resolved the issue.
Does anyone have any advice as to how to get this resolved? My parents are bugging me about this (my mom makes at least one daily US call to my aunt in Houston, TX)
*EDIT, i should add that i am using the original FPL, not dell voice.

Try powering down the PAP2 and any other devices on the network. Power down your router, wait 5 mins, then power up the ATA. Does it work now? If it does work you likely have some port problems that may need sorting out.

Re: Service problems: Long distance calling issues
Thing is, as part of attempting to fix yesterdays downtime (before realizing today that it was an FPL side error), I did try that with no luck.
My dad works via the home office, so at the moment cannot really try powering everything down, but I will atempt this tonight. However, I get the feeling it wont work.

Do local calls work?
That error is usually received when trying to register to the SIP server with a mis-matched username/password combination.

Re: Service problems: Long distance calling issues
I know you said you have a PAP2, but, is there an Asterisk server in the mix at all? If you don't change the Asterisk "user agent" then this is the message you will get.AdeAhmed wrote:Hello all,

I have just noticed that local calls arent working either. I assume that I would change this in the adapter settings. However, I cant recall where to find my username/password combo.

Re: Service problems: Long distance calling issues
I have found my password...I think accidentally yesterday I changed the password thinking it should be the same as my FPL profile password.
In any event, all is well.
Thanks for the advice all.

Re: Service problems: Long distance calling issues
A very easy mistake to make!
Notwithstanding your error, it does seem to indicate that you may have another problem there somewhere if you mistakingly changed the password yesterday but you started getting problems the middle of last week.
