Voice Mail dial tone but no voice mail

Post by WilliamY »

HI,

Its been 4+ days since last incoming voice mail, voice mails have been deleted already since day 1, but every time when I pick up the phone, I heard several busy tones then regular tones. Called the tech support, the guy told me to reset the ATA adapter, thats the only solution he can gave me, What I don't really understand is why the voice mail tone issue is related to my ATA adapter, my ATA adapter knows nothing about voice mails. Any one can help?

EDIT: Reset my ATA adapter didn't help, reset my phones didn't work either.

Thanks,

William

This seems to be a chronic problem with Fongo and the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI):

It is actually your ATA that holds the message waiting indicator and generates the message waiting tone to your phone. If you sign into your ATA administration interface you should be able to reset it to off.
