freephoneline client for andriod

Post by fmalerts »

Do you have or support a VoIP client for Android that works with your systems?
I have tried Dell voice , works ok but I don't want a different phone number than the one I already have with fongo.
I have tried 3CX but for some reason is not working properly while I am on 4G/LTE. When I am on wi-fi works very well but I need it to work on 4G/LTE.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I guess it is possible that your 3G provider is not "encouraging" the use of voip/SIP. It you know that your provider does allow voip/SIP then you could give CSipSimple a try or one of the many other Android clients.

The only real app or client we support is Dell Voice.
However, if you do a earch in the forums, you will find multiple postings of other users using various clients with FPL/Fongo after having purchased the VoIP unlock key.

I have purchased the voip unlock key about a year ago and I'm using FPL service since. I was looking to use the same account/phone number I have at home on my android phone. I want to use the long distance credits I have on my home account rather than using the minutes I have with my cell phone provider (Rogers). As I mentioned earlier, I tried few SIP clients and they work fine while I am on Wi-Fi but when I am on data network (LTE/4G , etc) I can not hear the other party during a call. He/she can hear me.
Rogers has told me upfront they do not block any port or a Voip client for that matter. As a matter of fact Dell Voice voip client for Android works well for me through the same data network, so Rogers is right on this one. If there is no other client you support other than Dell Voice can that be configured to work with my FPL account? Or any other other solutions would be appreciated.
CSipSimple voip client does the same , I can register on the network with it, I can place a call , I can be heard on the other end but I can not hear the other person.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

From experience, never take any Rogers CSR for their word. Their pants are on fire!
