Fongo? I'm Lost. Hello? HELP!!!

Post by Repo »

Well somehow, from Freephoneline, I ended up here...

There's a lot of talk about Freephoneline in here so I guess I'm in the right place.

I installed the software and it works. Yup, just like that.

Now, I don't know where to post this but I need a little help.

How can I use a headset with the PC when the MIC goes in one jack an the other jacks are for the speakers?
There's always something...

You're in the right place! Fongo is the company that powers the free calling solutions for many brands - including freephoneline and Dell Voice (the two names you'll hear most around the forums here)

The freephoneline software phone that you're using is programmed to use your computer's default audio device for it's mic input and sound output. You can set this in your control panel audio settings or via the software for your sound card. Have you tried using the headset already? More often than not, if you're plugging the headset into your soundcard then it will already be the default device.

Perhaps you have a heaset that has integral mic and heaphones like those use for cell phones? If that is the case then you can probably find adapter(s) in a dollar store or the like. If your heaset uses a USB sound card then you will need to set Windows to use the USB sound card as Steve has suggested.
