i know that this questions is specifically related to this app, but I'm hoping to get some ideas on how to make it work:
I have the fongo app working fine on my windows 7 pc, and when someone calls, the ringing sound works through my speakers.
However, I want to be able to answer the call and talk using my bluetooth headset and I can't figure out how to switch the call over.
My bluetooth headset on it's own is working fine, and I've been able to use it, but that's only when I set it up as the default sound device on windows. But when I do that, anytime someone calls my new number, I wouldn't know, because the sound no longer comes through my laptop speakers.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Using bluetooth headset with windows app
Some testing and evaluation on your part sounds in order.
If your PC is configured to handle your BT headset fine, then having the default speakers on, then powering up the headset when needed SHOULD cut the sound over as you wish it to.
DV & FPL softwares don't handle the sound directly, they use the computer settings for what you are doing, so if you have a working set up, they will use it correctly.
For example, I have my PC speakers as default, but on a call, plug in my headphones to the headphone jack --- it cuts over correctly as you would expect it to. I assume you can make your BT headset do the same thing ...

Re: Using bluetooth headset with windows app
This is a severe flaw in the programming language that Fongo uses to program their softphone. You cannot easily select other audio devices with JAVA.
The simplest solution is just to pay the $50 and get SIP settings, thus allowing you to use a proper softphone.
Some workarounds that I have not tested are to download bluestacks android emulator http://bluestacks.com/ and run the Fongo client of Dell voice. Another option is to run a XP virtual machine where you have control what audio device the virtual machine can use, and then run Fongo on that virtual machine.
