When I tried to set up an account I got the message that basically says because I set the account up on an Apple device that I can't use it on any non Apple device because of Apple policy. I checked previous posts and the solution is to delete this account and set up a new one using my PC. Then I can use it on my Apple device. However, I have the following questions.
1. Can I keep my existing number?
2. Why don't you state this information before people sign up? I realize this is not your fault - its Apples - but certainly you can let people know of Apples restrictions before they sign up. This causes a lot of problems if you have to tell everyone you've changed your number.
Sorry, this account was created with an ios device...

1. nope. Your only hope maybe to call into a CSR and explain, but I doubt they will be too sympathetic. It can't hurt to try though if you really want to keep the number.
2. Good question
As a side note, you could keep your existing account and set up a new one, then forward your existing account to your new one. This way you won't miss calls and over time people will get to know your new one.

1) Probably not, but as Jake suggestions, you CAN try, with a phone call, some luck and a good "sob story" (generic term...)tmnelson wrote:1. Can I keep my existing number?

2) Absolutely agree. Perhaps this can be done, as you have pointed it out so elegantly. Steve? Forward this on to marketing??
