I just tried to call 811 from freephoneline, and received the message "not accepted in dial-plan" or something like that.
Anyways, the call got rejected.
In Quebec, 811 is a public service used for non-emergency health issues. We can talk to nurses and other health specialists 24/7.
Would it be possible for all freephoneline numbers thay have a Quebec NPA to be routed to Quebec 811 service?

Re: Quebec 811 not accepted in dial-plan
We have hashed out this topic, as well as 5-1-1, 3-1-1 and of course 310 numbers a few times in several different threads.
Fongo has not yet made too much progress on these due to the "non-geographic nature of VOIP service" We did post working dial around numbers specifically for QC811 though ...

811 - 1-800-361-3977
There is some interesting reading there as well regarding this topic.
You can also do a search in the top right window .... "sante" "quebec" should yield you the results you desire!

811, like 311 and 511 and 310 are area specific numbers.

Re: Quebec 811 not accepted in dial-plan
This is well known and understood ... however, as there is Limited support for 3-1-1 based on the city in which your DID is based, I would seem to think that this could also be implemented for the OTHER n11 and 310 numbers that are in question here ....FONGO_mike wrote:811, like 311 and 511 and 310 are area specific numbers.
Specifically for 310 numbers, just force them to be dialed as 10D vs 7D (vs 3D for the n11, but only n11 is ever 3D!) ... by forcing 310 to be 10D, it can EASILY be routed at least SOMEWHAT correctly -- especially as when calling them from mobile phones, there is already the provision that they are LARGE-GEOGRAPHIC catchment areas, usually at least a LARGE portion of a province ... in many cases even, full-province wide.
That said, 416-310 works ... and it is the ONLY NPA-310 that does .... and it has to be dialed 10D ....
Not too hard to expand the same parsing that happens on 3-1-1 calls to encompass this as well. Of course, it is work, and it is not an overnight solution, but it is also one that should not be dismissed off-handedly without at least looking into it's feasibility!

You must enter the number directly in your dial plan, see: http://laurent.ca/2010/08/20/grandstrea ... an-string/
