Hello everybody,
I have recently purchased a new Cisco SPA112 2 Port Phone Adapter.
I want to configure it for my FPL account.
I cannot find its configuration guide in the Configuration section of this website.
So can somebody please let me know how to configure it properly.
Thanks a lot in advance.

The SPA112 is the replacement for the PAP2T and you should be able to configure it in roughly the same way.
Sent you a pm.

Re: How to configure Cisco SPA112 2 Port Phone Adapter
I have an SPA122, the big brother of the 112. It is fairly easy to setup. All you need is the SIP username (your phone number including the 1, eg. 15198046789), the password from the website, and the SIP proxy from the website (voip.freephoneline.ca).
The very simple way is to fill out the Info for either Line 1 or Line 2 in the Quick Setup tab.
The dial plan I have here is the one I modified from the FPL site as the one there is for the PAP2-T. If you want to send and receive faxes there is another minor change you have to make. In the Voice Tab, go to the line you setup, in my case Line 1. So Voice -> Line 1 -> Audio Configuration (heading) -> FAX Passthru Method and change this to ReINVITE from NSE.
If I have missed something or you have any questions let me know.

Code: Select all
Proxy: voip.freephoneline.ca
Display Name: *What you want the Caller ID to be* User ID: 15198046789 *But as your phonenumber*
Password: *Your password, from the SIP Setting page at FPL.ca*
Dialplan: ([3469]11|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|*98|*[6-7]xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

Re: How to configure Cisco SPA112 2 Port Phone Adapter
Thank you. This worked for me so far.
I am still pretty new and testing the system. So much problems before i found this thread.
Right now, i am changing NOTHING except whats on this thread.
Just wondering, i was trying to turn the SPA122 into a BRIDGE instead of its own router, but i notice that if i set it to BRIDGE, after awhile, the unit stops working correctly. When i pick up the receiver, i don't get a dial tone at all. I can repeat this and continue to get this problem.

Re: How to configure Cisco SPA112 2 Port Phone Adapter
Any way i can set the SPA122 to become a part of my current home network.
I want to be able to access the Admin page but since its is its own Router, i have to plug a cable to the SPA122 and login to the default 192.168.15.1 page.
Everytime i tell the SPA122 to become a BRIDGE, after awhile, the SPA would not work correctly, after awhile, the would stop getting a dial tone.
