Hi,
Hopefully someone can help me out. I have set up an SPA112 ATA with freephoneline. I'm using a D-link 524 router. My outgoing calls seem to work fine all the time, but I have intermittent incoming call behavior. When I unplug (power down) the ATA and plug it back in (power up), I seem to be able to receive calls for a short time (maybe about 5 minutes). But after that time no incoming calls get through anymore. The incoming calls don't go to voice-mail either but just get a busy signal after some delay.
I've set up the ATA LAN IP to be static, and placed it in the router's DMZ. I've also tried to forward ports 5060, 5061, 6060,6061, 13000, 13001, but nothing seems to help. I don't have a fancy setup, just a single line.
Thanks!

Re: SPA112 with D-Link incoming calls stops working
It is your router that is causing you problems. It is not smart enough to keep track of the SPA112, and the ports it uses. Ok, It is crap. I said it! Probably should be on the market for a new router.
If you still have a need for that hunk of junk, update the firmware. Second, forward some RTP ports from the router to the ATA. The default RTP port on the SPA112 is usually 16384. port a few more like 16386 16388 etc, for good measure. You only need to forward SIP port 5060, and that is only optional, because that can act as an outgoing port. You have issues with incoming ports, and your current router is piss poor at routing those.
If you do decide on a router, but are not made of money, this is the best low cost router I could find. It can be flashed with DD-WRT, which is a whole lot better firmware than what you currently have. http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 75bb6een02

Re: SPA112 with D-Link incoming calls stops working
Thanks for the response.
I spend a few hours last night trying different things, and the two things that seem to fix the problem is changing the SP112's NAT keepalive Enable to "on" and also the NAT Mapping Enable to "on". I also played around with various timer values, and one seemed to extend the time before the ATA stopped receiving calls. That setting was the INVITE expires which I changed from 240 to 580. The last setting change affected the problem, but did not solve it, so it looks like that is just optional.
Knock on wood, but so far everyone has gotten through for almost a day...
Thanks!

Re: SPA112 with D-Link incoming calls stops working
For the time being you can connect the SPA2102 directly to the modem instead of the router. The router can then be connected to the ATAs own router output and then everything else can work off the router. If you only make light use of the network the SPA2102 should be able to handle it. If you are a gamer then the router in the ATA will be too slow. My SPA3102 was able to run my network (3 users) fairly well and handle voip calls.

Re: SPA112 with D-Link incoming calls stops working
Not sure if this helps but somewhat similar.
I notice that if i put the SPA122 behind my Rogers SMC Router/Rogers Modem, and i set the SPA122 as a BRIDGE, i would continue to have issue after awhile.
Somehow the SPA122 wants to be a ROUTER, so i have it as ROUTER, but plugged behind my Router.
Right now, i left all settings default, except i used the configuration from this Posting http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 122#p32036
