Fongo termination charges

Post by TheHardy »

No charges to customers, but I am curious as to how Fongo earns termination revenue?

Per call or per minute?

Incoming or outgoing, or both?

IE: Telus landline --> Fongo #
or Fongo #---> Bell Mobility ....

Just curious, as my new company cell has unlimited evenings ... I can generate a little revenue in my spare time ... ;-)

Wikipedia is probably the best resource for explaining Telecommunications Termination Fees:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Termination_rates

Unfortunately beyond what is publicly accessible from Wikipedia or the CRTC for termination fees, we can't disclose any further information about this.

I am aware of interconnection and termination ... I am going to assume that Fongo operates as Bill & Keep ...

If you cannot give me specific information, such as if it is financially better for Fongo if I PLACE or RECEIVE calls (that is in essence what I am trying to find out!), then could you point me to the Fibernetics/Fongo Tariff as filed with the CRTC to save me the time in hunting for it??
