Hi can anyone help me with the following problem?
when I set codec to g729a only, there's no incoming at all, but when i have g711u, incoming works fine
equipment:
android Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Csipsimple
network Wifi with NAT enabled.

I believe Fongo only uses g729 for outgoing calls if set. Not all devices can use g729 because it has to have a paid license to be able to use it. If you limit it to only g729, then there could be people that can't call you (as you are finding) because they cannot send g729.

Hmm, I just noticed that too.
I think Fongo/FPL will only do G729 passthru. Which means if the call generate with G729, it will pass G729 to callee. On the otherhand, if you call from cellphone or PSTN which generate with ulaw or gsm, the call will pass ulaw to callee.
Fongo please support new FREE low bandwith codec such as SPEEX or SILK or at lease GSM.
