Digits repeated when using menus

I have Freephoneline with an SPA112 ATA and everything is running smoothly, except for when I use automated menus, all my keypresses are repeated. For example, if I enter "1" on the phone keypad, "11" is received at the other end. Instead of "2", "22" is received. I only hear 1 beep for each keypress on my end.

I have similar problems using the PC softphone (for FPL as well) and has been an ongoing problem, regardless of quality of internet connection or using headset/mic. I know that it should be way better on the ATA side of things, and some people do have success with ATAs and touchtone menus, but I suspect that it may be an underlying HARDWARE thing on the Fongo-side of things. Chen the settings for "Interdigit Short Timer" on the ATA. The default should be 3 sec.

yup, it's set to 3 seconds. Is there any other settings that could possibly be causing this? Would it be worth trying the Interdigit Short Timer at a different value?
