I have tryed to call my self from cell phone and get caller id error! Any idea as to why that is?

What are dial Plans?

The one provided by my ata is: (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

The one suggested on the forum is : ([3469]11|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|*98|*[6-7]xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

What does each of clause means?

You bought a voip unlock key from FPL or did you buy the fongo service with the 4.95$ fee? If it was fol Log onto the FPL website NOT fongo.

As for the dial plan. Keep a copy of the stat one but use the one recommended in the forums instead.

I am going to assume you have bought the config file from freephoneline, rather than anything from dellvoice or fongo. If I am mistaken, then you can pretty much well stop reading now :)

The username and password you received is probably the SIP details for login, rather than any sort of login details for a website. The website login should be the same for the account you bought the config file with. If you login at www.freephoneline.ca and click on the setting link on the first page you see (the one at the bottom under where it says "Select App to Modify", you should then see a tab marked SIP Settings. There it will probably show a duplicate of the details you were given in the email. I belive most Linksys ATAs pretty much look the same under the hood, so this guide should help you fill out the right boxes http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=310

If I am off base, then maybe you could explain a bit more about what it is you bought, and from what site. There are a few sites that are powered by Fongo now, and they are all a little different.

It might be useful to tell us which ATA you are using.

It's in his very first line :D

But you are right, we do need a little more to go on. Maybe he will come back, maybe he fixed it already, maybe he just moved on; who knows.

I think what happens a lot is people post their first support question around Friday or the weekend, but then it get's stuck in the moderated queue because it is one of their first posts. There are no Staff around to clear the queue so we (or they) get to see the question on the forum until much later. By then they have probably given up using this as a form of support and work it out for themselves or just give up.

Hopefully he will come back and we can try and help again.

I hace Cisco SPA112 ATA. I have updated it to latest firmware.

I have set my ata using quick set up, where i put the connection url, username and password.

During the stress testing i was doing, caller id now randomly errors out, as mention in the first post.

I have logged into my fpl which i used to purchase unlock key, sip page still prompts me to purchase unlock key, even though i have already bought it.

Let me know if there is anything else i could provide that could help to resolve the issue.

I would suggest this is your problem then.

You need to either message a staff member here (Mike or Steve http://forum.fongo.com/memberlist.php?mode=group&g=4) or try and get hold of a CSR on the phone. It seems you account was not set up right as it should certainly show your sip settings on the sip settings page if you have bought the unlock key.

I would start by messaging a staff member first including the link to this thread and your full phone number so they can check your account.

Jake's reply above is right on the money for how I would also diagnose this problem. a PM to Steve or Mike (find them in any forum) with a link back to this thread is indeed your fastest way to get this resolved!

That would be the contact method (they have local numbers as well, but that is the main tollfree customer support #).

Mike (to whom you may want to fire a PM) has posted just above mine, just hit the "PM" icon under his mini-profile over in the right-hand portion of his reply, and it will auto-link this thread, provide him with the info he requests, and see how far that gets you -- either Mike or Steve are the 2 MAIN Fongo go-to-techs that camp out in the forum (others like Neil drop by when time allows...)

Hi,

I just logged into my fpl account, and sip just have updated, it wasn't there yesterday :)

Interesting though it took them some time to do it, but since it done, i will continue to test the phone and see how it goes. Hopefully now since my account was properly updated the phone will work as it should.

Either Mike accidentally kicked the server, or someone managed to get enough info to take a quick boo at your account. Sometimes too, if they fix ONE persons' account, the update/change can tweak other accounts that are having the same issue (ie: if there was something along the lines of a stuck script to import new account information into a range of users, and it jammed up, then was fixed and allowed to run --- just a wild example, not necessarily the case!)

So far so good.

It just because crazy when i started receiving 47$ phone bills, that just contained the line and caller id. And bells CSR told me if i would sign up for a yearly contract they would give me ~10 discount.

Pretty much my decision was instantly made there :)

I knew it!! I saw someone walking into Boxwood wearing a welders helmet, blowtorch and carting an oxy-acetylene torch! ;-)

BTW: I suggest at least a 12# sledge hammer for most problems....

As someone who went to school to become a welder many moons ago (before changing to a tech job) if someone walked into the office carrying a couple torches and a mask, i think we would have bigger concerns then someone kicking a server lol
