Please help!!! I phoned customer support but they were no help, aside from telling me to post here in the forum.
I just tried installing the latest FreePhoneLine for Mac application, and it says "No connection to the server".
I turned off my firewall, and I also I logged out then back in again.
The tech on the phone was able to call my cell phone from his end using my FPL number (my cell phone showed an incoming call from my PFL # while I was on the phone with him), and so at that point he told me to post here... HELP PLEASE!!!!
I'm running the latest version of Mac: osX 10.8.2, and the latest version of FLP for Mac. My firewall is disabled. Not sure what else I could do to get this working.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Re: Mac Help!!! "No connection to the server"
Not on a Mac, but I am going to say that you are more than likely having an issue with your ROUTER. You will likely need to enable PORT FORWARDING to get things to work correctly --- there are MULTIPLE posts that can assist you in this, as well as the FAQ.
One way to find out if this is the case, is to temporarily connect your Mac directly to the internet (modem) bypassing the router (if this is possible with your setup) and see if it works that way. If your setup is "all in one" (as I think it may be, if your description in your profile is right!) you will need to get the port forwarding nailed down.

Re: Mac Help!!! "No connection to the server"
Okay so I just turned wifi off and connected directly to the modem with a cable - still not working! I doubt it's this issue as you suggested, because FPL was always working fine on my PC before. My PC's in the shop right now so I can't test it on there, but will when I get it back.
But as for doing what you said, even though it's still not connecting to the server being hardwired to my modem, should I still try what you said (and how do I do that)? Or any other suggestions please?!?!
Thanks.

Re: Mac Help!!! "No connection to the server"
Ahhh -- the fact that the same NETWORK hardware worked with a PC was not stated in the original post! Amazing how such little details can change how things work ...
There are several hundred posts on PORT FORWARDING that can explain this a lot better than I can -- simple search (top right of screen) will have the info you need.
However, this may not be the solution, as we now have more info, but it is worth a try. Again, I am not a MAC user, and would not know how the MAC software differs in compatibility with the PC version ... I am almost sure that the MAC version has it's own host of bugs much the same as all the PC versions do ...
