Pen drive version of FPL Softphone

Post by kola »

Hi Kris,

I was wondering that if there was a possibility of working on a pen drive version of a softphone.

Advantages:

While on the move, people can easily access the public computers, with limitations to access & download on
their system. However they do get access to use their own pen drive for retreving any data from it.

If we have a FPL softphone version, which can be exceuted from the pen drive and we can simple login our
cridentials and start using the phone.

This will be an awesome application, since no one else has done it so far.

Practical implementation of this suggestion can be seen at Teamviwer.com, site for accessing your computer remotely.
They have a pen drive version and works awesome.

I hope you guys can work on it.

Thanks,

Kola

I definately agree with you and there has been some success with our programming team regarding this, there have been some setbacks though regarding audio device selection (on a pendrive choosing the default audio device can be tricky - also makes no registry entry which we use to login / track data).

Right now we're waiting on a test account for our automatic / online payments on the web interface / website to test out the taxations and all the other nice features this company has, thus all further development of product has stopped until then.
