No outgoing calls over 4G Rogers

Post by myassismine »

I have had a lot of trouble with trying to find a solution for this.

CsipSimple works fine over WIFI. I can send and receive calls with good audio.
Now when on 4G/LTE I can connect to the FPL, but when I make an outgoing call it doesn't ring, but just connects and I won't be able to hear anything.

I have played around with STUN / ICE and a bunch of other settings with no resolve. I even tried 3CX and it did the same thing as CsipSimple.
So based on that I know its the FPL servers or something on your end. And not a software issues or a Rogers issue.

Please help.

Why is it that FPL and Fongo offer no technical support over the phone?
I tried to call in for FPL technical support and every time I get the same message saying no one is available right now.???
I called fongo technical support and I told them the problems i've been having with my Fongo line, and I have been told each time I call to just go online and ask for help. ??

BUT YET NO ONE YET HAS HELPED ME ONLINE YET!

Horrible customer service ever sine Fongo took over.
I have been a paid customer of FPL SINCE THEY OPENED!

As CsipSimple is not software that is distributed by Fongo, we are unable to provide any support for it. It's much the same as bringing a third party modem to an ISP - they'll support the internet service end of things, but if the modem is what's preventing you from using the service then they'll have to pass you on to the manufacturer for support. If we were to provide free support for the myriad of different third party devices on the market, we wouldn't be able to continue offering free service and paying a support center at the same time!

We have a lot of CsipSimple users in the forums here, so I'm sure one of them should chime up shortly with some tips.

Steve missed this ... Fongo did not take over, FPL was the flagship brand, and Fongo is the parent/Umbrella that was formed so that there could be different branded offerings. There was no corporate leadership/ownership change, just an added level up top, under which FPL falls.

And as things took off popularity wise, the small little community that was FPL users could no longer get the same level of personal service we used to enjoy o the free offering (as Steve states); unfortunately, as the service delivery model has changed, the status and participation level of the forums has not kept pace.

I did a few searches, and if you punch in the right terms, you should surely be able to find the support you need here, even if no one directly answers your thread. Try specifically looking in the working config section of the forum ....
