Can not access or setup voicemail

I can call the number, I can call out - but I can not access voicemail either from the phone app or online.

Online:
App Settings --> Voicemail Settings = error message "error occurred while loading data from server"

Phone App:
Account doesn't exist message

Help!
Suggestions on how to correct would be appreciated!

When calling the remote access number, and it asks you for the account number, are you dialing the full 10D number with the 1 before the area code?

Humm! Must have been one of those "mice in the internets bug" - both the website error (popping up with that message when I clicked the Voicemail Setting link) and the phone app mysteriously disappeared.

Mike - I appreciate your timely response on a long weekend by the way, it is highly appreciated.
