i have huge issue with this FPL after I moved to a new location.
first of all. my setup: cable--modem--router(newest Thomson)--PHONE ADATOR(Linksys PAP2)
Here is my problem with FPL: i connected everything, the phone works, the internet work, everything works for 3 days,
and then on day 3, the phone stopped working, I have to power it off and power it on, the phone is working again. what can cause this? there is no change in setting when FPL was working.
and then on day 4, the internet stopped working, i had to restart the modem to get everything to work again.
please help this is very urgent.

If you reset your router then you may forget to re-do port forwarding again that's all

now that you said it, I never configured my router to forward ports to the ATA. I played around with it last weekend. but i didn't get a full instruction to do it properly.
Is there any chance that you can point me to a place that shows me how to do that?

Depending on the modem you are using, you might actually be able to set up the rules in the modem itself and select the native device that is connected. this way, even after reboots or changes, it would still set these exception rules up. (An example of this is the Thomson TG784 modem under UPNP setting allows these kind of rules to be created)
