I was advised by one Joe ( I don't think it is his real name, as every time I ask for him, one Ruth from Dominican Republic says some other name) to buy any phone adapter in the market and configure it with the information given to me in the e-mail fongo sent me. I bought a Cisco SPA 112 Two Port Phone Adapter, and tried to configure it. First, there is no Technical Support for people who buy an adapter on their own. Second, there is no relevent information in the Forum. So ,can anyone tell me how to configure this adapter? I connected it to the internet router, connected my analog phone and dialed * four times as the quick guide tells, but nothing happens. If someone can send me information as to how to connect this , I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Wicky

Re: Cisco SPA 112 Two Port Phone Adapter Configuration
I can just tell you general steps, I am not sure if you have done these already:
- plug your ATA device into power, router/modem and into your phone
- your ATA device will receive an IP address from your router/modem
- with your computer, you will need to configure it by using a browser and connecting to this new IP address
- in particular, you will need to give it: FreePhoneLine.ca server address, your tel. #, you SIP password, and other such settings... a good example is a PDF file pblished in this forum, albeit it is not for your device, it gives you an idea what you need to program
- reboot your ATA device
- in theory, you should be able to call out and receive calls now with your phone

Re: Cisco SPA 112 Two Port Phone Adapter Configuration
The SPA112 is a direct replacement of the discontinued PAP2T. Although there are subtle differences, provisioning the SPA 112 should be the same as the PAP2T-NA.WICKRAMAJ wrote:
