Hello,
I have been using freephoneline with an ATA for about 6 months now. Since the beginning, the call quality is perfect most of the time. However, sometimes the other party says that they cannot hear me very well and that sentences are cut...
I blamed this on my internet connection. Lately I upgraded to cable, 30Mbps up and 3Mbps down. I constantly get this speed from speedtest, but I still experience the same issue with the phone calls.
Today, somebody called me and they couldn't hear me again, so they called on Skype and Skype was crystal clear on both end, indicating that my internet connection was fine...
What can the problem be? Can this be my setup with the ATA?
Thanks
call quality - The other side sometimes doesn't hear me

Re: call quality - The other side sometimes doesn't hear me
The http://myspeed.visualware.com/indexvoip.php test results on my line seems pretty good.
Average jitter 0.8ms, packet loss 0.0%.
SIP Response time:
Register: 470ms
Invite: 465ms
Bye: 261ms
Could it be my ATA? Is it worth buying another one and trying it out, or should I play with QoS on my router first?
I don't have DD-WRT installed, it is just stock Linksys firmware and I don't think QoS works that great with Linksys firmware.

I am still getting bad call quality (the other side has problems hearing me, while I hear them fine)...
How can I troubleshoot this further? Could it be a configuration in the ATA or the modem?
Please help me...
