Desktop Application will not take numbers

I have just downloaded the Dell Voice Client for Windows
Dell Voice version: 1.1.1.0

I can call the Voice Mail fine
What I can can not do is dial

Pressing the number keys registers nothing (with and without num-lock enabled)
Pressing the number keys at the top of the keyboard , nothing happens
using the Mouse to click does not work (& yes I do have the title bar hit above the keys)

When I do VM - I can here the messaging (but cannot hit the keys)
When I do a Test Connection - it does fail at data transfer : port 13000 (which is labeled an audio port ) so I feel this is a different problem

any ideas ?

The "-" (dash) key is the only key that works



This is Win 7 Pro - is this not compatible
