ATA permanantly on DMZ

Post by dana_aki »

Hello,

I read in one of the posts someone reccomending not to permanantly leaving the ATA on DMZ. Mine is on DMZ all teh time........ is there an issue with that ? Should I not have it on DMZ?

if you put them on DMZ mode is not protect by firewall of your router

but to me you are just a home user and no one would bother to hack you LOL so don't worry about it

You are probably OK to stay with DMZ at home but there is a risk that all those open ports could give access to you ATA and computer. If you care to, you could remove the DMZ and forward the required ports from your router and run your ATA without any worries about DMZ.
