Fongo vs Freephoneline - I am confused
So I signed up to freephoneline powered by fongo for free. Then paid to get the VOIP settings. So far I am happy other than I cant transfer my number. Then I log onto fongo website and see the home phone service is 4.95 per month. What's the difference? Why would someone pay for it if the same service is free.

The main difference is support. With the Home Phone you are set an ATA pre configured and you should just plug it in and off you go. If you have problems you can call into a CSR and get support.
If you just buy the config file you are pretty much on your own. If you call in the CSR will not be much help to you.
So, if you are tech savvy or like to learn - FPL is probably the way to go. If you like plug and play things then Fongo is probably better.

i have the same question, so now the option of bying a preconfigured FPL ATA is not available ? and in the case of fongo home phone, do u have to pay the ATA or it is like a rent or contrat with the 4.95 $ per month ?
