I have been without phone service for over 3 weeks. The internet service was down, and we called and service was restored without the phone. After several calls and changes, the phone is still not working. Now when I try to call out, there is a dial tone, I dial a number and then I get a message "That password is not valid". When you try to call into the number, the call goes directly to voicemail and the home phone does not ring. I have a Thompson TG784 modem, with Fongo for both voice and internet service.
After the last call to support, I started to receive calls on my line that were not my phone number, and I looked at the router configuration, and under Telephony Details was listed a number and name that was not my phone number and I changed the configuration to my phone number, but there appears to be something else that needs to be done. Since this day, I have not been able to get through to support to have them look at it again.
Please advise.

Re: that password is not valid message
if you just changed the phone number, you need to put in the right password also.
You may need to get these details if you look in your settings online. I don't have Home Phone so I can't help you completely. It does sound like the router was set up with wrong information, so you just need to put in the right information.
Unfortunately a CSR might be your best hope.

do a factory reset your ATA
then login your ATA and enter the SIP info back in again
