For anyone having technical issues with fpl

Post by billcanada »

I would suggest you do a factory reset on your VoIP adapter first. Then install the latest firmware for it. Then enter only the settings that fpl suggests for your adapter. After that, unplug your VoIP adapter from the electrical outlet. Then unplug your router and then modem or router/modem in one. I'd leave them unplugged for a few minutes. After that, plug your modem or (modem/router in one) back in and wait for it to fully initialize. Then plug in your router and wait for that to fully initialize. Then plug in your VoIP adapter and wait for that to fully initialize. Make sure all the cables are plugged in correctly to each other too. I think in most cases that will resolve your issues unless fpl is down. If you are still having issues then use fpl's softphone software on your computer to connect. If you can send and receive calls without any problems then you need to check for a problem with your modem, router or VoIP adapter. If any lights are off on these devices that shouldn't be then you know which one is not working properly. Call tech support for that specific device. I hope this helps anyone having technical problems to keep their sanity. :-)
