No imcoming calls ..

Post by nickolas.chen »

Can some one please help here?

I have been using FPL for more than 3 years with exact same hardware and settings.
We recently noticed, We can only call out, but there is no incoming calls.

I have searched the forum, it seems it happens recently?
What is the solution for this?

Hey, thanks for your reply.

The sip server address your system gives me, on "Sip Settings" page, is:
voip.freephoneline.ca

This is constant with the one I put into my PAP2T

Is this server correct? or I should try some other servers.

There was a minor hiccup awhile ago but it's been fixed since.
Have you rebooted your ATA Sip Device since the problem occurred? Sometimes just a quick reboot can fix the problems.

I have restarted the router, modem, and ATA. The issue still persists.
Can you check if there is anything going wrong with my account?

Also had this problem this morning with two calls - one from 519 and one from 905 (I am in 519). The call log status shows "Destination out of order".

But I tried calling our home number from my cell phone and it rang normally, so it seems to be intermittent. I have also rebooted my ATA.

Hello there,

Looks like you have a Thompson modem and to solve the issue you need to unbind sip protocol in your modem.
http://support.fongo.com/entries/229593 ... mson-modem

This has also been discussed here:

http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 696#p46696

If you need assistance, please send a PM to any of the mods(including myself) and they should be able to assist.

Thanks,

The past few days or so we have had our ATA drop off line (not register) for some reason. I changed the proxy voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca address and for a short while everything works. After an hour or so it drops off line again, I haven't timed it so I can't for sure. Repeat above but with old settings...same, a reboot temporarily works too coincidentally. I've replaced the ATA device and reprogrammed it as needed and sure enough I get the same results. We've used freephoneline with the cisco SPA2102 with very few issues for more than a year now. Port forwards aren't a concern in this case because the ATA is first in line after the DSL modem with QOS on and DCHP to the house router. It's not a huge inconvenience because we have cel phones for a back up of course but we hope to have this corrected none the less.

Hi,

According to the list that you posted, I have this one: Button flashes every 4 seconds (if SIP server is configured), now my questions are, what is the next step? what should I do?

Hi there,

HT–286 fails to register- it looks like sip is blocked on port 5060 or adapter is not configured properly.

Please try to check again , if you are having any issues, send a PM and I will assist.

Ports are open, i have tried two routers, using Lynksis PAP2T, modem is Broadxent 8012-V, router is Belkin N-router F5D8233-4v3.

Hi there,

I just send you a PM.

I have also researched your router and it looks that is not working very well with voip:

I'm also experience this issue as well. We notice that we can call out but no incoming call.

We have switch internet provider to Bell Fibe so not sure if that is the issue but it was working file before when we switch. I will reset and check the SIP when I get home.

No imcoming calls to Linksys PAP2

Post by pjevic »

Hi Fongo,

I used Fongo for few years and it worked like a charm. 3-4 Days ago I couldn't get any incoming calls, outgoing is working fine. I am using Linksys PAP2 with all usual/reccommended settings from your document. Any ideas will be highly appreciated.
Sometimes it rings once and sometimes call goes to voicemail but it is random and most often nothing happened.

Hi,

I'm having the same issue here in Laval. My home phone does not ring anymore at home since few days ago.
People have been calling me and unfortunately, I cannot be reached.
I could still make calls, but again, I cannot be called.

As a workaround, I forwarded the calls to another Dell voice number, which rings on my cell phone, but that's not a reliable solution since we can hardly hear each other through that service.

Any help is much appreciated.

Gabriel

Hi there,

Assuming you have a PAP2T like in you sig, please verify your ATA configuration against the below:

http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=310

This will resolve the issue.

Thanks,
