Not able to login to Dell Voice desktop application

When I tried to login to the application, it gave me an error "not able to open internet connection'. It was working before, I just logout and tried to log back in. There was no change to any setting in computer, router or new software installed. OS: Windows Vista, Java: v6 update 29, Router: Asus RT-N16. Same error with my laptop running Win 7. Please help.

Same, was working, signed out, tried to sign back in, wouldn't let me.

Same here. I guess I'm not the only one. I thought maybe the desktop app isn't working anymore.

I'm guessing Dell Voice has been discontinued?

I have the same issue:

Does anyone know, If Dellvoice Desktop app is discontinued or , are they working on an upgraded version?
What happen to the dellvoice # if we can't access the application for 90 days? this way they make us
lose our dellvoice/fongo number that our friends can reach us with.

Any user(s) facing the same issues?

Wish someone from fongo would have the time to give us feedback.

Seems like Fongo no longer has a desktop app.
I thought I saw somewhere that they were going bring one out.
RIght now they direct you to freephoneline.ca
However you have to register and pay to get the desktop app,
and you have to use a new phone number.

My firewall software says Dell Voice desktop trying to contact 208.85.216.36
nslookup indicates no such server. So I am guess they took down the server
that was used for Dell Voice

I just tried a call on my blackberry Dell Voice app, which was working
a couple of weeks ago, and it completely crashed my blackberry (error 603)

Sigh. The reason for going through all of this is that I wanted to test the
service on my desktop to see if it is good enough to replace my home
phone line, intending to buy the voice switch thing. I don't want to lay out
the $60 or so to find out it sucks. I am concerned because my experience
with the Dell voice on my blackberry was really not very good. And of course
Fongo doesn't have a blackberry app. So overall this is not looking good. Guess
I will have to start forking over money to the cable company instead.
