Getting Voice mail notification when no voice messages

Does anyone ever had the voice mail notification on the phone (when i switch on the phone, the dial tone will beep continuously for a few seconds to indicate that there are voice messsages) when there are no voice messages ?

I am having the voice mail notification on the phone for the last few days after I deleted a voice messages when I know there are no more voice messages at all. This is a bit of inconvenience as i don't know if there are really voice messages or not.
