SPA3102 - does anyone want to trade?

Post by rmb »

I'm not a vendor first of all...just a FPL user. I have a lightly used, completely updated SPA3102, and I wish I had gone with a two line model instead of this. The 3102 has one PSTN port and can only make one SIP registration. Any users near Hamilton who might want an upgrade in trade for a PAP or 2102?
The good thing about this model is that it does let you create a VOIP gateway. Originally, that was my idea. Call in on my landline, call out by SIP, and avoid cell phone long distance charges. Anyway, I'd love to hear from someone who could use it. Right now I need to keep my FPL registration, but also dial out to an Asterisk trunk. I'm having lots of trouble using the gateway function of the 3102. Double registration would just be easier. I would consider keeping it if someone could figure out how to make my Asterisk box patch the incoming call from the 3102 right to an outbound route.
Any takers?

I think you can configure two different SIP lines
I had three years back two SIP providers on it.

How can you do that? I bought the spa3102 thinking that I'll use the pstn gatway, but now I think I just want to use 2 SIP lines, and cancel bell.

You can have 1 incoming sip line, but then configure up to 4 additional sip gateways (providers) for dialing outbound. I don't see a way to have incoming from these other sip gateways.
