I see this problem is consistent now and it occurs much more often lately:
- I use eyeBeam client
- I call my Rogers cell number (I do not think the problem is specific to a particular service provider)
- My cell does not ring immediately
- eyeBeam shows a timeout message after a while and drops the call (my cell was not ringing anyway)
- about 15 seconds later my cell starts ringing
- if I pick up the call, obviously I hear nothing
- if I do not pick up the call then my cell stops ringing after a while (I guess Rogers cuts that call, the SIP client dropped that called for a while already) and it starts ringing a second time after a few moments; after it stops ringing there will not be a third time.
This happens to two thirds of the calls I tried to my cellphone or my landline.
Anyone knows why that happens? Is there a problem with the servers?
Thanks!
Very slow call connection

If I understand this correctly, you have one voip unlock key account and you are using an ATA at home for this.
You are also using eyebeam on your smartphone using the same voip unlock key
Please let me know.

Re: Very slow call connection
That's correct. I have bought two unlock keys and I have these numbers for about three years. They used to work fine but now it takes either very long or times out to connect the call.
EyeBeam is a Windows SIP client application.
Thanks!

Please review the configuration of your ATA against FPL standards.

For eyebeam issue, I think your best choice is to contact them as it's a paid app and you are eligible for support.
Note that I am using Xlite (free version) on my laptop and I have no issues at all placing/receiving calls. Both Xlite and eyebeam are made by same company.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
