Problem with incoming calls
Hello,
As many others, I am experiencing the same issue with no incoming calls. Outgoing calls have no problems, but incoming calls go directly to voicemail.
When this happened before, I switched to the voip2.freephoneline.ca proxy and it worked. Now both proxies (voip and voip2) exhibit the same behaviour.
I am using SIPSorcery, with SIPSorcery registering with FPL (so I can concentrate all my SIP providers into one ATA), so I cannot "reset" its configuration (I have tried adding FPL as a new provider to test that but it did not seem to work). In SIPSorcery's logs, there is no mention of the incoming calls, so it looks like FPL is not even contacting the registered SIP client before deciding it is not online. Of course, it seems to be correctly registered with no apparent issues. I have set the Registration Expiry at 3600 s.
From the logs in FPL's web portal, I get this two different error messages (for different attempts): "Unallocated (unassigned) number" or "Destination out of order". I would be interested in knowing what the more technical logs at the FPL side say, so if it is a SIPSorcery problem I can approach them with information they can use to fix the issue.
I can PM anyone from FPL my FPL number and any other information they might need.
Thanks!
PabloB.

So if I understand this correctly, ATA is setup with sip.sorcery.com information.
When someone calls, it will hit sip.sorcery.com and they will redirect to your ATA.
Let me know if that's the case. This is a really weird configuration.
Thanks,

Re: Problem with incoming calls
I'm having the same problem. all of sudden no incoming calls. outgoing calls are ok. I'm wondering if something wrong at Fongo's side as nothing was changed on the ATA. also the dial tone is strange, kind of like busy tone at the beginning and then back to normal dial tone. I'm in Kitchener/Waterloo area.

Are you also connected to sip.sorcery.com?
Or you connect directly to FPL? What is your ATA model?
Please let me know.

Re: Problem with incoming calls
Thanks for your quick reply. Through research I found out that the DND was set on, probably by my 2 years old son playing with the phone. That explains the strange dial tone. after dial *79 it goes back to normal.Fongo Support wrote:Hi there, zzbsb wrote:I'm having the same problem. all of sudden no incoming calls. outgoing calls are ok. Re: Problem with incoming calls
Yes, it works exactly like that. That setup allows me to have three different SIP phone numbers (in 3 different countries!) that ring a single ATA at home.Fongo Support wrote:

This problem is quite annoying, since it started happening with no obvious changes in any configuration...
I'll PM you my FPL account number.
Thanks a lot,
PabloB.

Re: Problem with incoming calls
By the way, I should add that I tried other of my SIP providers and I can receive calls to that number, so it should not be an obvious issue on my side with blocked ports.

Re: Problem with incoming calls
Ok, now it is working again, with no clear reason why. I've fixed my ATA settings (thanks for all the PM's and the call!), and I hope it'll keep on working...
