Can I add a FPL line to my PAP2T

Post by Tinku »

I already have a voip provider but I want to add another FPL, can I add FPL line to the existing PAP2T ? I dont want to screw up my existing setup so if this is possible can somebody point me where I can get some answers before I order my FPL #.

Thanks for your help.

Yep, PAP2T is two-line supporting.
Just give us a call to purchase your SIP settings if you haven't already

If the PAP2T is locked, will he still be able to use it? It might be worth finding out first.

In which case it should be fairly straight forward. All you should need to do is enter the details in the SIP file (basically your username and new password, and server details) and that should get Line 2 up and running. Then you will just need to plug your phone in. Because of how it will be set up you will have one phone for your existing VOIP service, and one phone for FPL. It will be like having 2 phone lines coming into the house.

So physically it will be one phone but with 2 lines incoming to the same unit. But what confuses me and maybe a lot of other noobs venturing into voip arena is how do you switch between the lines ? Is it done by a press of a button ?

It is a 2-Line device, so you would need two phones connected to it.

There will be a $50 configuration charge, but no, no change to your phone number or account information.
