I have a VTA VD router and I followed the instructions on this page to set it up:

Incoming calls work fine as I have had no problems with people calling me. However I cannot call others. After I punch in a phone number, I get the error "This account number is not valid". Does anyone know what the problem is?
Also, I noticed in the instructions that under "Admin->VoIP->SIP" all the boxes have numbers filled into them. Whereas in my case, the settings are blank. Could that be the reason why there is a problem? I decided to leave it blank because in the instruction page it says "SIP is very unlikely to need any changes".

I think I might know what the problem is... In the e-mail that was sent to me regarding the purchase of the $50 VoIP unlock key, the settings for my home phone assumed that the SIP device I have is Linksys... But I actually have the Vonage VTA-VD which is not the same as Linksys. In other words the unlock key doesn't work with my device... I tried e-mailing but there has been no response for the past month... I feel like I got scammed although I am not sure...
