hi there

ive been a customer of fpl for over a year and never had any problems with calls disconnecting or any other problems you guys are facing.I believe it all has to do with the equipment you have.

I believe the best voip adapter is the linksys pap2 (which i have).The second part it has to do with the router.Lastly the best settings is from website: http://voipfan.net/ATAs/PAP2_freephoneline.php
I have telus adsl and they supplied me with the actiontec router.With both of these equipments i never faced any problems
