Re: Difference Between ASTERISK vs. TRIXBOX ???
Hello, to put it easier this is the difference:
Asterisk: it is designed in Linux version with the regular commands.
Trixbox: it is the same Asterisk BUT in Windows interface.
I hope have cleared your doubts.

Re: Difference Between ASTERISK vs. TRIXBOX ???
TrixBox is built off LAAMP (Linux, Apache, Asterisk, mySQL, PHP) and a whole lot of other tools and applications.
If you simply wanted to install Asterisk you would have to manually install Linux, download all of the Asterisk source code and compile it yourself. With TrixBox you boot off a CD and within a few minutes you have a function PBX platform that not only includes Asterisk but also includes FreePBX, SugarCRM, Munin, an Endpoint Manager, the HUDlite manager, and numerous other components that are easily installed via the TrixBox interface
Asterisk is like the hardware, or a kernel, Trixbox is shiny stainless steel case around it with all the bells and whistles... or the GUI.
