Android app battery usage

Since the last update for Fongo for Android the battery usage for the app has skyrocketed. At the end of the day yesterday I checked the battery usage stats for that day and it said Fongo had used 49% of the battery since it was last charged. And that is 100% background usage, as I didn't even open the app the entire day. Definitely something to have the developers look at
