Voicemail Tile Problems

Hi. First I press the voicemail tile in order to access it. Then I push the settings button within the voicemail tile. As soon as I do a voice comes on to put in my account number and, before I even press anything, the number 3 is automatically coming up as though I pressed it when I did not press anything at all. There is no erase on the voicemail dial pad. How do I get it to stop entering the number 3
