I have just completed a purchase ($25+tax) to transfer (port) my existing VOIP number from 3web/Distributel to FPL.
Interstingly, on the online form there were only two choices: landline and mobile
I have choosen "landline", and entered 3web/Distributel into a provider name window.
Read it on the forum, that others successfully transferred numbers from Rogers, Telus, etc....which were also VOIP numbers.
Hopefully, not going to be any problem to get it from 3web/Distributel......I will not cancel my service with them until the phone line stops working.
Anybody has any experience regarding transferring a VOIP number ?

I ported my number from Distributel in 2010 with no issues.
